Upcoming closure summary:
When: Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th August 2026 between the hours of 2pm to 11:59pm daily
Where: Happy Jacks site within Kosciuszko National Park
Type: Evening ground shoot program around threatened species sites targeting feral animal predators
Special conditions: The site will remain open during most of the day, including the section of the National Trail through the site. Please leave the area by 2 pm each day.
The closed Happy Jacks site area is described as:
- Section of Happy Jacks Road – from Tooma Road to Grey Mare Trail and surrounds
- Section of the National Trail – from Tooma Road, along part of Happy Jacks Road to Grey Mare Trail and surrounds
- Brooks Hut and Linesman Hut are inside the closed area
Closure signs will be erected at the main site entry points with the closure times.
